Student stewardship envelopes
The stewardship envelopes were sent home with students in preschool through 12th grade. The purpose of the stewardship program is to be grateful for our gifts from God, knowing that it is not how much we have in time, talent and treasure, but what we do with what we have that is important. Just as Jesus gave sacrificially of Himself, we should share our time, talent and treasure for the love of God and neighbor. By using the envelopes, it helps us to do this prayerfully and reflectively in a planned way. It helps us to place God first in our lives. Our objective is not strictly financial but educational as we prepare ourselves for a life of responsible stewardship.
A Thanksgiving service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, at St. Raphael Church.
There will be a reception after the service in the church basement. Everyone is asked to bring a finger food to share. The collection for the evening will go to Crisis Connection.
