Orange County woman arrested on failure to appear

From Local Sources

JASPER — The Dubois County Sheriff’s Office booked an Orange County woman into jail Tuesday on a failure-to-appear warrant in a misdemeanor theft case.

Olivia R. Brown-Chatman, 20, French Lick, pleaded guilty last month to a 2018 theft involving unauthorized control over another person’s bank debit card and was placed on home detention with electronic monitoring.

Authorities filed a petition to revoke her probation last week for an alleged major violation of her community corrections agreement and a warrant calling for her to be taken into custody was issued Thursday out of Dubois Superior Court after she failed to appear at a court hearing.

Authorities booked Brown-Chatman into the Dubois County Security Center at 3:22 p.m. on the active warrant.
