Olivia Hopf and Kyle Anthony Wilgus exchanged wedding vows at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 5, 2019, in St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, Ferdinand. Father Anthony Govind officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Steve and Sue Hopf of Ferdinand. The groom is the son of Ron and Shelly Wilgus of Schnellville.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore an ivory gown by Maggie Sottero with embroidered lace motifs and Aldora crepe. The gown featured a sheer lace bodice accented in pearls and Swarovski crystals with attached beaded and Swarovski crystal belt, an illusion scoop back, an illusion cutout train accented in lace motifs and lace straps.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Rachel Hassfurther and Miranda Miller, friends of the bride. Taylor Bayer, Kendra Schipp and Anna Becher registered guests.
The bride chose Adrienne Hopf of Williamsport, Maryland, as maid of honor. Bethany Hopf, Claire Becher, Brittany Rahman and Lori Klem, all of Ferdinand; Kelsey Hopf of Middletown, Maryland; Beth Grammer of Jasper; Darianne Cherry of San Diego, California; and Gina Bettag of New Albany were bridesmaids. The miniature bride was Reilly Hopf, goddaughter of the bride. Nora Hopf, niece of the bride, and Gracie Hopf, goddaughter of the bride, were flower girls.
The bridesmaids wore an assortment of Morilee bridesmaid dresses in bordeaux.
The groom chose Jared Wilgus of Schnellville as best man. Aaron Hopf of Ferdinand; Jordan Hopf of Middletown, Maryland; Trent Bayer of Birdseye; Caleb Williams of Salem; Brandon Chumbley of St. Anthony; and Philip Ross of McMurray, Pennsylvania, were groomsmen. The miniature groom was Andrew Hopf, nephew of the bride. Jackson Hopf and Grant Hopf, nephews of the bride, were ring bearers.
A reception was held at the Ferdinand Community Center. Music was provided by Starstruck DJ.
The couple took a wedding trip to St. Lucia and is living in Owensboro, Kentucky.
The bride is a 2011 graduate of Forest Park High School, Ferdinand; 2015 graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington; and 2017 graduate of Oakland City University. She is a Spanish teacher at Heritage Hills High School, Lincoln City.
Mr. Wilgus is a 2011 graduate of Forest Park High School; a 2015 graduate of Brescia University, Owensboro; and a 2019 graduate of Logan University, Chesterfield, Missouri. He plans to open a chiropractic practice this summer.
