OFS Brands sells Style Travel businessAugust 21, 2013
From local sources
HUNTINGBURG — Hank Menke of OFS Brands Inc. announces that the company has sold its Style Travel business to Carmel-based The Travel Agent Inc. The sale was effective Aug. 7.
This divestiture has two important advantages, according to a company news release. It allows OFS Brands to more sharply focus on its two core business segments, commercial furniture products, through OFS Brands, and services, through Styline Logistics, Styline Brokerage and Styline Diesel Service Center. And it strengthens Style Travel “by integrating it into a strong, nationwide travel agency with offices throughout the U.S.”
The Travel Agent’s second-generation owner, Mark Moorhead, said that when the company acquires or affiliates with an agency, “we don’t want to change their image or brand. We want to expand our own footprint while providing other agencies the resources to expand their services.”
The Travel Agent is a full-service agency specializing in personal and corporate travel and is a member of Tzell and Virtuoso, which provide smaller agencies the tools and resources to offer more options to clients.
The office is at 320 N. Jackson St. The Travel Agent will continue to employ Angela Mathies as its local representative and she will continue to assist past Style travel clients as she has for the past 13 years.
The office phone number remains 683-7240. Mathies also may be reached at email@example.com.
