Officials: Early voting going well

So far, 23 percent of Dubois County’s eligible voters have cast a ballot.
As of 4 p.m. Tuesday, 7,210 people had voted; that includes 5,306 in person and 1,904 by mail. There are 30,959 registered voters in the county.
So early voting is going very well, officials said.
“Great turnout so far,” Dubois County Clerk Amy Kippenbrock said in a release to the press.
Early voting will continue to Nov. 2. Voting locations and times are:
Dubois County Courthouse Annex: Now to Nov. 2
Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Wednesdays: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturdays, Oct. 24 and 31: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Monday, Nov. 2: 8 a.m. to noon
35th Street Fire Station, Jasper
Now to Friday, Oct. 30: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturdays, Oct. 24 and 31: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Huntingburg Event Center
Thursday, Oct. 29 and Friday, Oct. 30: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Kippenbrock said voting lines have moved well, so the wait is short. Sanitation precautions are also being taken.
“Please remember to wear your mask, use hand sanitizer, and bring your photo ID,” she said.
Any registered voter may vote at any early voting location in the county. On Election Day, which is Tuesday, Nov. 3, voters must cast their ballot at their specific polling place. To check your polling place visit www.indianavoters.in.gov.
For those still planning to mail in their ballot, that ballot must be at the clerk’s office by Thursday.
