Oblates to celebrate Epiphany, host dinner

JASPER — The Benedictine Oblates of Saint Meinrad Archabbey, Jasper Chapter, will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10, at the St. Joseph Parish Center.

Benedictine Oblates seek God through living, working and praying according to the Rule of St. Benedict of Nursia, who lived in fifth-century Italy. He is the founder of Western Christian monasticism.

The evening will begin with the Three-Fold Feast of the Epiphany “At the Crib, At the Jordan and At Cana.” Following this traditional Epiphany celebration, the chapter will enjoy a carry-in dinner, Christmas carols, and fellowship.

Anyone who would like to attend may notify Jasper Oblate Chapter Coordinator Angie McDonald at 812-630-2885 or email her at angela.k.mcdonald@gmail.com.
