JASPER — An arrest was made Friday night after police responded to a report of a suspicious male who was swinging nunchucks while walking in Jasper.
Members of the Jasper Police Department responded to the report at 11:57 p.m. on Friday. The man, who was later identified as Baron S. McCann, 25, Dale, was reported walking west on 15th Street from Vine Street while swinging the nunchucks.
McCann was located at the Circle A Food Mart at 1402 Newton St. He was found to have an active warrant through Dubois County for a failure to appear in court.
In a search, a small bag of a clear crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine was located on McCann's person. The substance tested positive for methamphetamine.
McCann was arrested and transported to the Dubois County Security Center, where his warrant was served and he was charged with possession of methamphetamine.
