No new COVID-19 cases reportedJune 15, 2021

JASPER — The Indiana State Department of Health didn't report any new COVID-19 cases in Dubois County on Tuesday.
The state health department has recorded a total of 6,211 positive cases in the county since the pandemic began, and 118 deaths related to the virus. A total of 21,078 county residents have been tested.

ISDH reported Tuesday 240 new cases across the state, bringing the statewide total to 749,835 cases. A total of 13,332 Hoosiers have died from the virus. Another 420 probable deaths have been reported.
The COVID-19 testing site at the former Ruxer Golf Course building in Jasper is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday. It is closed on Sunday and Monday. The testing site will close for good at the end of the month.
Register for an appointment for a COVID-19 test at https://scheduling.coronavirus.in.gov/. You will have to click “I don’t have an invitation code.” If you do not have internet you can call the primary phone at 812-329-0523. If no one answers, leave a message and they will call you back. Results should be available within 72 hours. If you do not get your results, you can call the Indiana State Department of Health at 1-877-826-0011.
Testing is for anyone who lives or works in Indiana. Anyone can be tested, even those not showing symptoms. There is no charge for the testing. However, if you do have private health care insurance, you are asked to bring that to the testing site.
Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center has closed its COVID-19 drive-thru testing site that was located at the corner of Third Avenue and Rumbach Street in Jasper. According to a news release, the closure is due to the recent decline in the number of COVID-19 tests being performed.
Other options for COVID-19 testing are:
• Memorial Hospital Emergency Department (800 W. Ninth St., Jasper): Patient is evaluated by a provider, who determines testing and treatment. Open 24 hours a day.
• Indiana State Department of Health Testing Site (400 Clay St., Jasper): Tests anyone with or without symptoms. Open Tuesday – Saturday, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. Schedule an appointment through https://scheduling.coronavirus.in.gov/.
• CVS (multiple locations): Tests anyone with or without symptoms. Availability based on locations. Schedule an appointment through https://cvs.com.
