No injuries after cars collide south of Square

From Local Sources

JASPER — No one was injured in a two car fender bender south of the Square on Monday.

The Jasper Police Department says that Amy K. Morris, 46, Jasper, was westbound on Fifth Street in her 2015 Toyota Camry when she attempted to cross Main Street.

Police say Morris nosed out her vehicle to check for cross traffic before proceeding through the intersection, but failed to see a southbound 2009 Chevrolet Traverse that had exited the Square onto Main Street. The Traverse, driven by Andrea T. Harger, 30, St. Anthony, struck the passenger side of Morris’ Camry.

The accident resulted in $2,000 of damage to each of the vehicles.

Police cited Morris with failure to yield the right of way.
