Nicole Kerstiens of Ferdinand became the bride of Wesley Sitzman of Bristow in a double ring ceremony at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013. Father Jack Durchholz witnessed the vows in St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, Ferdinand.
The bride is the daughter of Debbie Kerstiens of Ferdinand and the late Pat Kerstiens. The bridegroom's parents are David and Laura Sitzman of Bristow and Jacquelyn and Curtis Knieriem of Branchville.
Greeters were Taryn Prechtel and Katie Winkler, cousins of the bride.
Dan Racicot played the organ, and Katie Demuth sang for the ceremony.
Lectors were Debbie Winkler, aunt of the bride, and Taylor Prechtel, cousin of the bride. The offertory gifts were carried by Steve Henke and Kathy Russell, godparents of the bride, and Jim Durcholz and Michelle Schaefer, godparents of the bridegroom.
Bubble girls were Chloe Henke, cousin of the bride, and Aubrie Seibert, cousin of the bridegroom.
Mrs. Kerstiens gave her daughter in marriage. The bride chose a friend, Regina Steckler of Ferdinand, as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Bristinne Mendel of Ferdinand, cousin of the bride; Courtney Knies of Indianapolis, stepsister of the bridegroom; and Autumn Sitzman of Branchville, sister of the bridegroom. Flower girls were Addison Schipp of Ferdinand, cousin of the bridegroom, and Bella Henke of Tell City, cousin of the bride.
Best man was Tyler Sitzman of Bristow, brother of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Blake Hill of St. Croix, friend of the bridegroom, and Dillon and Deion Henke, both of Ferdinand and cousins of the bride. Andrew Muth of Bristow, friend of the bridegroom, and Logan Schaefer of Ferdinand, cousin of the bridegroom, were ushers. Ring bearer was Caleb Gehlhausen of Bristow, cousin of the bridegroom.
Taryn Prechtel and Katie Winkler registered guests at the reception held at the St. Anthony Community Center, St. Anthony.
The couple is at home in Ferdinand after a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico.
The bride is a 2009 graduate of Forest Park High School in Ferdinand and a 2013 graduate of the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville. She is a registered nurse at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh. Mr. Sitzman graduated from Perry Central High School in 2008 and from Ivy Tech Community College in 2010. He is a maintenance technician at MasterBrand Cabinets in Ferdinand.
