• Samantha Striegel, 32, 423 E. 14th St., Jasper, misdemeanor disorderly conduct, sentenced last week to 180 days in the Dubois County Security Center suspended to supervised probation.

• Estefany D. Hernandez, 20, 480 Kirkwood Drive, Jasper, misdemeanor domestic battery, deferral agreement filed last week.

• Devonte J. Chatman, 29, 404 E. 14th St., Jasper, misdemeanor resisting law enforcement, sentenced last week to 365 days in the Dubois County Security Center with a jail credit of two days and 361 days suspended to probation.

• Charles A. Ballou, 50, 239 Hillside Drive, Jasper, misdemeanor battery resulting in bodily injury and driving while suspended (prior), sentenced last week to 365 days in the Dubois County Security Center with a jail credit of three days and 359 days suspended to supervised probation.

• William E.J. Yarbrough, 22, 255 Brucke Strasse, Jasper, Level 6 felony failure to return to lawful detention, sentenced last week to 180 days in the Dubois County Security Center with a jail credit of 57 days.

• Trevor T. Hansford Weitkamp, 20, 411 N. Main St., Huntingburg, misdemeanor reckless driving, sentenced last week to 60 days in the Dubois County Security Center suspended to supervised probation and 10 hours community service.

• Jeremy S. Verkamp, 38, 6897 S. 500E, St. Anthony, Level 6 felony dissemination of matter harmful to minors, sentenced last week to 400 days in the Dubois County Security Center with a jail credit of two days. Defendant may serve the executed sentence on home detention with electronic monitoring.

• Devonte J. Chatman, 29, 404 E. 14th St., Jasper, misdemeanor criminal mischief, sentenced last week to 365 days in the Dubois County Security Center suspended to supervised probation. Defendant shall pay restitution to Nutrient Ag in the amount of $2,000.

• Kirby D. Quiggins, 46, 257 Brucke Strasse, Jasper, Level 5 felony failure to register as a sex or violent offender (prior), sentenced last week to 1,000 days in the Indiana Department of Correction with a jail credit of 279 days. Defendant may serve the sentence in community corrections.

• Isadore L. Brown, 30, Mayville, Wisconsin, Level 6 felony domestic battery (prior), sentenced last week to 364 days in the Dubois County Security Center with a jail credit of 77 days and 210 days suspended to supervised probation.


Superior Court

Criminal

• Terreall E. Carnahan, 19, Eckerty, misdemeanor hunting without a license and illegal taking of a wild animal, sentenced last week to 180 days in the Dubois County Security Center suspended to unsupervised probation. Defendant shall complete the Indiana Hunter Education Safety Program and turn in verification to probation. Hunting privileges suspended one year. Defendant ordered to pay a $500 replacement fee to the Department of Natural Resources.

• Cameron P. Strother, 28, 5362 W. Duff Road Southeast, Huntingburg, misdemeanor resisting law enforcement and operating while intoxicated, sentenced last week to 365 days in the Dubois County Security Center with a jail credit of one day and 363 days suspended to supervised probation. Defendant shall successfully complete 60 hours community service.

• Jacqulyn R. N. McDaniels, 32, Dugger, Level 6 felony unlawful possession of a syringe and misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia, sentenced last week to 180 days in the Dubois County Security Center with a jail credit of 20 days. Defendant shall serve the executed portion on work release.

• Aaron D. Cooper, 32, 3246 S. 1025E, Birdseye, misdemeanor operating while intoxicated, sentenced last week to 365 days in the Dubois County Security Center with a jail credit of 245 days. Defendant to serve 120 days on home detention with electronic monitoring.

• Alexander W. Paugh, 20, Indianapolis, Level 6 felony failure to return to lawful detention, sentenced last week to 360 days in the Dubois County Security Center with a jail credit of 38 days.

• Ernest D. Chasteen, 26, 217 N. Arjem St., Huntingburg, Level 6 theft, sentenced last week to 730 days with a jail credit of one day and 728 days suspended to supervised probation. Defendant shall not trespass at Huck’s and pay restitution in the amount of $4,940.

• Timothy J. Taylor, 33, Bristow, misdemeanor operating while intoxicated, sentenced last week to 28 days in the Dubois County Security Center with a jail credit of 14 days.

• Robert A. Orosz, 56, Merrillville, misdemeanor operating while intoxicated, plus an infraction for driving while suspended, sentenced last week to 30 days in the Dubois County Security Center with a jail credit of two days.

• Shawn R. Fox, 36, 8990 E. 990N, Dubois, misdemeanor theft, sentenced last week to 365 days in the Dubois County Security Center with a jail credit of three days and 359 days suspended to supervised probation transferred to Orange County. Defendant shall complete 80 hours community service.
