Crawford County homicide investigation ongoingAugust 29, 2020

WICKLIFFE — An investigation is ongoing after a Newburgh man died after a shooting in Crawford County Friday evening.
Around 8:50 p.m., the Indiana State Police responded to a shooting that occurred at 2424 N. Dillard Road, Birdseye. Preliminary investigation shows Lisa Harris, 57, shot Michael Harris, 56, both from Newburgh.
Though that location has a Birdseye address, it is located near the intersection of State Road 164 and North Newton Stewart Road near Wickliffe.
Michael Harris was treated for serious injuries at the scene by Crawford County EMS and transported to Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center where he succumbed to his injuries.
Lisa Harris was incarcerated in the Crawford County Jail for homicide.
The Herald reached out to the Crawford County Prosecutor's Office on Monday afternoon and was told that nothing had been filed with the case. More information could possibly be released Tuesday afternoon.
Indiana State Police were assisted at the scene by the Crawford County Sheriff's Office and Crawford County EMS.
