New technical director selected at Crane

CRANE — Dr. Adam Razavian, a former employee of Crane Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, has been selected as the new technical director there.

Razavian has a doctoral degree in information systems and a master’s degree in electrical engineering. He joined the civilian Navy at Crane Division NSWC in 1989 and has spent the past 10 years working for the surface Navy in Washington, D.C.

NSWC Crane is a naval laboratory and a field activity of Naval Sea Systems Command with focus areas in special missions, strategic missions and electronic warfare/information operations. As the technical director, Razavian will provide leadership for a workforce of approximately 3,000 senior scientists, engineers and other professionals while also overseeing $2 billion in total execution.
