New football tradition planned for Jasper

From Herald Staff Reports

JASPER — Jasper head football coach Tony Lewis is launching a new tradition on Friday nights at Jerry Brewer Alumni Stadium.

Lewis is encouraging all Jasper football player alumni to form two lines from the fieldhouse locker room to the tunnel entrance under the stadium prior to the start of each home game. As the team leaves the fieldhouse and heads to the field, the former Jasper football players can cheer on and fire up the 2019 players as they get ready to compete.

All former Jasper football players are encouraged to meet behind the stadium near the tunnel entrance at each home football game seven to eight minutes prior to kickoff. The new tradition begins Friday night when Jasper hosts Evansville Memorial.
