Dr. Kristi Nord, neurologist at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center, will give a presentation on the Bible study “Me, Myself and Lies” by Jennifer Rotchschild.
Rothschild went blind during high school due to a genetic disease, and her life experiences provide tremendous spiritual inspirations that are incredibly unique throughout this study. Dr. Nord will lead attendees through Rothschild’s thought closet makeover and give guidance on keeping God in the center of one’s thoughts. Dr. Nord will discuss applications of these tools through some of the trials in her life. She also explains some of the intriguing science behind the power of thoughts in the brain.
Dr. Nord is a native Texan who majored in biomedical engineering at Yale University and graduated with honors from Penn State College of medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania. She completed her neurology residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and is a neurologist at Memorial Hospital. She also is an assistant professor of neurology at Indiana University School of Medicine. She and her husband of 15 years, Jon, reside in Jasper with their four children.
