JASPER — Authorities say a neighborhood altercation early today ended with an arrest.
The Jasper Police Department was called at 12:24 a.m. to the report of a battery that had occurred at 3828 N. Portersville Road.
Police allege a verbal argument between Jose Castellanos, 38, of 3828 N. Portersville Road, and a neighbor turned physical, with witnesses saying Castellanos had issued challenges to go out and fight.
Authorities booked Castellanos into the Dubois County Security Center at 4:10 a.m. on preliminary misdemeanor counts of battery and disorderly conduct.
Memorial Hospital Emergency Medical Services assisted at the scene.
