HUNTINGBURG — The Dubois County Airport Authority invites interns, students and the public to meet and hear from Joshua Gordon, an F/A-18 Hornet-Navy pilot and Northeast Dubois High School graduate, at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Huntingburg Airport’s terminal building (under the rotating beacon).
“We are proud of Josh’s accomplishments and happy to welcome him back,” DCAA President Jim Hunsicker said about the special visit from the former Huntingburg Airport intern.
After graduating from Northeast Dubois and finishing his internship at the airport, Gordon continued his education at Indiana State University before he joined the Navy as an officer.
“Here is a local neighbor and family member who can inspire a young person to make the sky the limit to their career,” Hunsicker said
The DCAA continues to encourage the next generation pilots, mechanics and engineers by providing the basic building blocks of aviation here in Dubois County.
