Museum to host program on agricultureJanuary 22, 2020
JASPER — The Jasper Community Arts, as part of a collaboration with the Jasper Public Library and Dubois County Museum, has been awarded $1,500 by Indiana Humanities to host a local program exploring themes from a traveling Smithsonian-curated exhibit called “Crossroads: Change in Rural America.”
The next program in the collaboration will be “The Story of Dubois County Agriculture.” The program will begin at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, at the Dubois County Museum. Guest speaker will be Lee Bilderback, a local family and agriculture historian. Come and enjoy his knowledge and wit.
Another program, “There and Gone and Back Again, A Conversation Sparked by Creative and Culinary Arts,” is planned for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, at Parklands Pavilion with David Hoppe, journalist, playwright and essayist. The program, “Indiana State Read, The Year We Left Home,” will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, with Jill Watson, library staff, and Donna Schepers, education coordinator at the Jasper Arts Center.
