IRELAND — The Ireland Historical Society Hunt for History Contest is planned from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 14, in the IHS Museum.
Check out the walls of pictures in the basement and answer 20 questions for a chance to win prizes. First prize is $75 and second prize is the Ireland History Book.
Find out more about the history of Ireland in pictures and model replicas. Be sure to check out the town of Ireland replica made by Mike Schmitt.
The museum is located in a church built in 1878 by the Ireland Methodist Church. Regular church services were held there for 118 years. It is the oldest remaining structure in Ireland. Inside, the lower level is like a walk through Ireland history. Photos and memorabilia reflect the rich history of the Irish settlement.
