Museum offers free admissionMay 2, 2019
JASPER — The Dubois County Museum is having a free admission day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 18. The museum is celebrating its 20th year.
The public is invited to come view the museum’s more than 50,000 square feet of exhibits and close to 10,000 pieces of collected history depicting Dubois County and Southern Indiana on display.
During May, several programs are featured. Storytime will take place at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 11. The theme is “Picnic/Mother’s Day.” Crafts and activities will follow the stories.
The area Coin Club is hosting a coin show at the museum on Saturday, May 18.
The museum’s silent auction of dolls will be open until 4 p.m. Saturday, May 25.
The museum will be open on Mother’s Day and between 1 and 4 p.m. Sunday, May 26.
The museum, at 2704 N. Newton St., is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and from 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays. The museum is closed Mondays.
