JASPER — A motorcyclist was transported for treatment after a Monday evening accident along a county road southeast of Jasper.
Christopher Waltz, Jasper, was operating a 2007 Honda motorcycle when the 7:13 p.m. accident occurred on Schnellville Road 180 feet east of St. Anthony Road West, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy said Waltz was distracted when his motorcycle went into a ditch on the south side of the roadway.
Waltz was taken for treatment at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center. A hospital spokeswoman said he was treated and released.
The motorcycle was taken from the scene.
The Celestine Volunteer Fire Department and Memorial Hospital Emergency Medical Services assisted.
