Montgomery stationed in Iraq

Pvt. Kyle Montgomery, Company B, 326th Brigade Engineer Battalion, deployed from Fort Campbell, Kentucky, on Jan. 5 to Iraq. He will be clearing IED’s and will be a primary gunner.

In March 2018, he graduated I AIT Combat Engineering at Fort Leonardwood, Missouri. In June, he completed the 40-hour combat lifesaver course and exams.

He served as the primary gunner for the platoon sergeant during Rotation 18-10 at the Joint Readiness Training Center in Fort Polk, Louisiana.

On Aug. 3, he graduated from the Sabalauski Air Assault School, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and earned the Army Achievement Medal as a machine gunner at Fort Campbell.

He is the husband of Victoria and has a daughter, Desirae, and stepdaughter, Ariyah Pipkin. His mother is Mandy Luker. Maternal grandparents are Jim and Debbie Moore and Harold and Lila Street and paternal grandparents are Denny and Becky Ramsy, all of Loogootee, and Teresa and Frank Horsting of Washington.
