Montgomery scores 1,000th point in Southridge loss

Castle 54, Southridge 44: The Raiders (0-1) dropped their first game of the year on Saturday at the University of Southern Indiana. However, junior Colson Montgomery needed 12 points — and got 16 — to eclipse the 1,000 point total in his career. His 16 points were a team-high. Southridge will try to get in the win column for the first time this season on Tuesday when it is scheduled to visit Pike Central. The Raiders won last year's game, 66-37.

Evansville Reitz 75, Jasper 67: The Wildcats (1-1) could not extend their record to 2-0 this season, dropping a loss at the University of Southern Indiana. They are currently in the midst of a layoff. Friday is their scheduled home opener against Gibson Southern. Jasper won last year's game against the Titans, 67-38.
