Miss Flame contest set for Sunday

ST. MEINRAD — The St. Meinrad Volunteer Fire Department will host the Indiana Volunteer Firefighter’s Association District 18 Fire Prevention Parade and Miss Flame Contest on Sunday, Oct. 13.

The Miss Flame competition will be held on the Archabbey Grounds beginning at 8 a.m. The parade will begin at noon. The judging stand will be located at the fire house on State Road 545. Trophies will be awarded and the Miss Flame Contest winner will be announced immediately following the parade.

Six young women will be vying for the title of Miss Flame.

Kristen Detty, daughter of Joe and Dawn Detty of Birdseye, is a sophomore at Forest Park High School. She is representing the Birdseye Volunteer Fire Department.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Leslie Jochem, is representing the Ferdinand Volunteer Fire Department. She is a sophomore at Forest Park High School and the daughter of Pat and Glennda Jochem of Ferdinand.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kira Jones is representing the Dubois Volunteer Fire Department. She is a junior at Northeast Dubois High School and is the daughter of Phillip and Amy Jones.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

McKayla Marie Persohn, is the daughter of Mark and Amy Persohn of Schnellville. She is a sophomore at Forest Park High School and is representing the Schnellville Volunteer Fire Department.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Braili Ann Schipp, Ferdinand, is the daughter of Jeremy Schipp and Amy Dilger. She is a junior at Heritage Hills High School and is representing the Santa Claus Volunteer Fire Department.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Tasha Wiseman, daughter of Kyle and Debbie Wiseman of Leavenworth, is a junior at Crawford County High School. She is representing the English Volunteer Fire Department.
