From Local Sources
JASPER — A Crawford County man was brought to the Dubois County Security Center Monday on a local warrant charging him with criminal mischief.
Charles J. Zoellner, 39, English, is accused of vandalizing a vehicle July 10, 2018, in a Jasper case investigated by the Jasper Police Department.
A warrant charging Zoellner with a misdemeanor count of criminal mischief was issued out of Dubois Circuit Court in August 2018.
Last month, Zoellner, who was incarcerated in Crawford County, contacted local authorities, asking to be transported to Dubois County to address the charge. The Dubois County Sheriff’s Office brought him to the security center Monday on the active warrant.
During an initial hearing Tuesday, Zoellner received court-appointed counsel and was placed on pretrial day reporting until his next court date on Sept. 30.
