HOLLAND — A tow truck was needed after a minivan-versus-deer collision Wednesday morning just south of Holland.
Jill M. Sermersheim, 30, Huntingburg, was northbound on State Road 161 in a 2016 Honda Odyssey when the 5:55 a.m. accident occurred 500 feet south of Holland Road East, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy said the Sermersheim Honda collided with a deer that came onto the highway from the west.
Damage was estimated to have exceeded $5,000.
A KARS wrecker assisted.
