JASPER — No injuries were reported when a minivan sideswiped a semi Saturday in the WITZ Bottoms.
Marvin E. Maxey, 72, Holland, was northbound on U.S. 231 in a 1993 Dodge Caravan when the 10:25 a.m. accident occurred 750 feet north of WITZ Road, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy reported that the Maxey Dodge, for an unknown reason, traveled left of center and sideswiped a southbound 2007 Freightliner driven by Michael W. Petry, 63, St. Anthony.
Damage was estimated between $5,000 and $10,000.
A deputy cited Maxey for driving left of center.
