HAYSVILLE — An Orange County woman escaped serious injury when her minivan ran off the highway and rolled at midday Monday east of Haysville.
Nona M. Noble, 68, French Lick, was westbound on State Road 56 in a 2008 Honda Odyssey when the 11:59 a.m. accident occurred east of County Road 175E, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
Noble told a deputy it seemed as if the vehicle lost traction. The Honda left the roadway, went into a ditch and struck a state highway sign. It rolled and stopped in the roadway on its passenger side with all air bags deployed.
A deputy said Noble complained of pain but declined to be transported from the scene by ambulance.
The crash totaled the Odyssey.
The Haysville Volunteer Fire Department, Memorial Hospital Emergency Medical Services and a Uebelhor & Sons wrecker assisted.
