Cody Beard hops into his mini sprint car for a test-drive at his home in St. Anthony on Sunday. “My dad got me into it. He was racing when I was young, so I just always grew up on a racetrack,” Beard said. “Any nice day, we’re out here working on ‘em and then in the summer every weekend we’re racing ‘em.” In addition to traveling for races, Beard said his favorite part of mini sprint car racing is having the whole family together.
