WEW welcomes Lydia Lagenour, owner of Fire Horse Yoga LLC to speak on the topic of mindfulness. Mindfulness is a powerful way to handle stress and live life more fully. The best part is, it can be practiced anytime and anywhere. Lagenour will share the healing effects of mindfulness for personal well being and for the benefit of one’s local community.
After learning about mindfulness, attendees will experience it as Lagenour leads them through a mindfulness exercise and meditation. In closing, participants will be given tools to use in everyday life, including a resource guide to further explore mindfulness and a daily meditation exercise to try.
Additionally, a Private Yin Yoga Class will be offered for WEW members from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, at Fire Horse Yoga located on Courthouse Square, Jasper. Yin yoga is slow moving and perfect for beginners. Mats are available for participants to borrow. There is a $4 member fee to attend. Space is limited. Reserve a spot by emailing Lagenour at firstname.lastname@example.org or texting 812-630-3378.
