Mildred Anna Bayer Milbourn, 93, French Lick

Mildred Anna Bayer Milbourn, 93, of French Lick, formerly of Birdseye, passed from this life to her eternal home at 2 a.m., on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at Springs Valley Meadows in French Lick.

She was born January 3, 1926, in Siberia to George Albert and Marguerite Elizabeth (Boeglin) Bayer and married Wilbur W. Milbourn on November 22, 1947, at St. Joseph, Missouri. 

God and her family were the most important things in the world to Mildred and her unconditional love knew no boundaries. She and Wilbur traveled in Evangelistic Ministry for many years until settling down in St. Joseph, Missouri, where they pioneered the first Apostolic church in that city and served faithfully for over 65 years.

Mildred was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rev. Wilbur Milbourn, on June 15, 2016; and by 14 siblings.

Mildred is survived by two sons, Rodney Milbourn and Barry (Jan) Milbourn; one daughter, Velda (Kern) Qaulkenbush; six grandchildren, Kara (Brandon), Landon, Korryn (Brenton), Justin (Wren), and Desiree (Brandon); and nine great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Norah, Nolan, Karter, Hudson, Baylor, Linkoln, Asher and Ethan.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg, from 5 to 8 p.m., on Friday, October 4, 2019, and at the New Life United Pentecostal Church, 194 West 3rd Ave., Huntingburg, on Saturday, October 5, from noon to 1 p.m., with the funeral service held at 1 pm.  Officiating at her funeral will be the Reverends Kern Qualkenbush and David H. Bayer. 

Burial will take place at Birdseye Cemetery in Birdseye.
