Mikhaila Hamilton and Derek Kippenbrock exchanged wedding vows at 3 p.m. on July 14, 2018, at St. Henry Catholic Church. Father Godfrey Mullen officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Bill and Linda Hamilton of Evansville. The groom is the son of Mark and Karen Kippenbrock of Dale.
Music for the ceremony was provided by pianist Melanie Baker and vocalists Mark Schmitz and Meghan Gallagher. Readers were Linda Hamilton and Karen Kippenbrock, mothers of the bride and groom. Program attendants were Margot Clark, Carly Shipp and Ady Racine, cousins of the bride.
The bride chose Laura Lahay of Evansville, friend of the couple, as maid of honor. Theresa Wrynn of Muncie, Megan Hamilton of Wyoming, April Kippenbrock of Dale and Audra Kippenbrock of Dale, were bridesmaids. The flower girls were Rue Taylor and Avery Racine, cousins of the bride.
Mr. Kippenbrock chose his brother, Dugan Kippenbrock of Dale, as best man. Noah Rickelman of Evansville, Austin Hamilton of Wyoming, Matt Seger of Santa Claus and Cody Leffert of Mariah Hill, were groomsmen. Larry and Mark Durchholz of Evansville were ushers. William Smith of Dale, godchild of the groom, was ring bearer.
A reception was held at the St. Anthony Community Center. Music was provided by Boogie Tunes.
The couple took a wedding trip to Couples Swept Away in Negril, Jamaica, and is living in St Louis, Missouri.
The bride is a 2014 graduate of Bosse High School, Evansville, and a 2018 graduate of Hanover College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and math. She is an analyst for the Federal Reserve Bank in St. Louis.
Mr. Kippenbrock is a 2013 graduate of Heritage Hills High School, Lincoln City, and earned an associate’s degree in agriculture from Vincennes University, Vincennes. He is completing a bachelor’s degree in agriculture and is employed at the St. Louis County Parks Department.
