Mid-States Corridor to leave citizens homelessApril 21, 2021
To the editor,
When I read the recent Dubois Strong report touting the mid-states corridor project, the most obvious thing was that none of them actually must live among any of the proposed routes. Sure, many of them will profit from land speculation along supposedly undecided routes, but what about the rest of us?
Among the glowing but dubious statistics quoted, the most important one was left out: How many of us will be left homeless? Hundreds, at a time of a national housing shortage.
They want to ruin Dubois County and no one is listening. We need a binding referendum, so working class homeowners finally get the same voice as rich business owners and politicians.
