Michaela Hassfurther and Ryan Schuetter

Michaela Hassfurther and Ryan Schuetter exchanged wedding vows at 2 p.m. May 19, 2018, in Divine Mercy Parish-St. Anthony Catholic Church, St. Anthony. Fr. Eugene Schmitt officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mike and Ann Hassfurther of Jasper. The groom is the son of Brenda Schuetter of Jasper and Tom Schuetter of Jasper.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose a tank style, A-line white gown with lace and beading from the neckline to the waist. Covered buttons closed up the back sheer illusion and continued down the back and the length of the train. Pockets were placed at the side seams.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Traci Catt and Mallory Libbert.

The bride chose Bethany Hautsch of Jasper as matron of honor. Morgan Hassfurther, Mandy Hopf, Mallory Wehr and Joni Hassfurther, all of Jasper, Maddy Merkel of St. Anthony and Ashley Merkel of Dubois were bridesmaids. Kaylee Hopf and Kennedy Hopf, both of Jasper, were flower girls.

The bridesmaids wore floor-length chiffon dresses in coral with a pleated tank bodice and an empire waist.

The mother of the bride wore a short-sleeve, floor-length chiffon dress in gray with lace and beading. The mother of the groom wore a long-sleeve, floor-length chiffon dress in black with matching lace and a beaded jacket.

Mr. Schuetter chose Luke Hassfurther of Jasper as best man. Craig Reckelhoff of Huntington, Brock Popp, Matt Stemle, Aaron Hopf and Phillip Hautsch, all of Jasper, and Jeff Wehr of St. Anthony were groomsmen. Adam Buschkoetter of Jasper and Matt Kuper of Celestine were ushers.

A reception was held at the St. Anthony Community Center. Music was provided by Boogie Tunes.

The couple took a wedding trip to Arizona, Nevada and California and is living in Jasper.

The bride is a 2012 graduate of Northeast Dubois High School, Dubois. She received an associate’s degree in 2014 from Vincennes University Jasper Campus, a bachelor’s degree in 2016 from Purdue University Northwest and plans to graduate in 2019 from PUNW with a Nurse Practitioner degree. She is a registered nurse.

Mr. Schuetter is a 2008 graduate of Jasper High School. He received an associate’s degree in automotive technology in 2010 from Ivy Tech, Evansville. He is a mechanic at Cooper Rail Service, Huntingburg.
