July 7, 2020Michael David Schroeder, 42, Indianapolis, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 2, 2020.

He was born on April 6, 1978 in Jasper, Indiana to David W. and Marilyn (Hopf) Schroeder.
Michael graduated from Jasper High School in 1996 and attended Indiana State University and IUPUI. Michael’s career centered around management, but his true passions were traveling, being with friends and family, and making great memories. With Michael, others always came first. His sense of humor and sharp wit was one-of-a-kind. He was always the first to help, dust you off and tell you that you were better than you could ever give yourself credit for.
Michael is preceded in death by his father, David W. Schroeder.
He is survived by his immediate family, Greg Simon, Marilyn and Jerry Burris, Angie and Sean Kaiser, Clint and Taryn Kaiser and Reese, Moriah Kaiser, Kate Kaiser, Gina and Jason Twomey, Lydia Twomey, Macy Twomey, Nola Twomey, Colton Twomey, Sheila Burris, Debbie Paul, Kim and Adam Woodward, Madison Woodward, Chase Thornsberry and Addison Hildenbrand.
A memorial service will be held at Indiana Funeral Care in Indianapolis on Wednesday, July 8, for the immediate family. There will be a Celebration of Life for Michael at a later date in Jasper for the immediate and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michael’s memory to the organizations that meant most to Michael: American Heart Association, Human Rights Campaign, or any charity for underprivileged children.
