Mental health topic of Dine with a DocDecember 17, 2019
JASPER — Senior Education Ministries has partnered with Home Instead to offer Dine with a Doc from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, at Shiloh United Methodist Church, 1971 State Road 56, Jasper.
Heather Nicholson, Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center’s psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, will share a presentation about depression, including signs, symptoms, self-care and treatments.
Nicholson provides mental health services for all ages through the Memorial Hospital Counseling Center in Jasper and will discuss her first-hand knowledge of treating depression.
Local senior citizens are invited to hear the program while enjoying a complimentary lunch provided by Home Instead Senior Care.
The program is a community effort of Senior Education Ministries, a medical provider, a meal sponsor and area businesses and senior citizens. Senior Education Ministries offers the free program so they can extend God’s grace to people.
Door prizes from will be given to someone attending.
