Memorial opens medication resource center
December 4, 2018From Local Sources
JASPER — Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center has opened the Mary Potter Resource Center to help patients in need find resources to get long-term medications at a reduced cost or no cost at all.
The center is located inside the Medical Arts Building at 721 W. 13th St. in Jasper and is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The center has no medications on site, but instead aids individuals with finding and applying for existing funding options available through public and private services. All individuals applying for assistance must provide proof of income.
Memorial Hospital recognized the need for a medication affordability center, and with funding provided by the Little Company of Mary Sisters – USA and Memorial Hospital Foundation, this center is now a reality.
Anyone needing financial help for medicines should contact their medical provider for a referral to the center.
