Memorial Day program, dessert festival setMay 16, 2019
JASPER — The Shiloh Cemetery Association is planning a Memorial Day program and dessert festival at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 25. The public is invited.
Shiloh Cemetery sits in a wooded setting on Shiloh Road, just west of Jasper and east of Ireland. The address is 4060 W. Shiloh Road, Jasper.
Listed in the National Register of Historic Places, Shiloh is an active non-denominational public cemetery. It also is home to one of the few pet cemeteries in the state.
Activities will include The Weyer Girls as entertainment this year. The girls consist of five of the seven daughters of Lori and Craig Weyer of St. Anthony. The girls have performed in many local events with their Christian- and Patriotic-themed songs.
Participants may bring a dessert or fruit tray. Plates, utensils, napkins and water will be provided.
The primary purpose of Shiloh is to maintain, beautify and further develop this historical site.
