Melodee A. Gilpatrick, 52, DaleMarch 30, 2020
Melodee A. Gilpatrick, 52, of Dale, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 27, 2020 in Jasper.
She was born on July 20, 1967, in Huntingburg, the daughter of the Harold Ray Curtis and Phyllis Elizabeth (Bruce) Curtis.
Melodee was always focused on her biggest joys in life — her two grandbabies. She was a wonderful soul who was always the first one to help a family member in need and very diligent about calling everyone to check up on them. Family was her first and last priority. She was a homemaker that was loving, caring and sometimes a tad bit stubborn. Melodee will be truly missed and cherished forever by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, John Allen Gilpatrick; daughter, Stephanie Gilpatrick; grandchildren, Paisley Ray and Jason Gilpatrick; father, Harold Curtis; brothers, Sonny (Christina) Curtis, Jimmy Curtis; niece, Kimberly Curtis, and several other nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Joyce Gilpatrick; brother-in-law, Terry (Mikki) Gilpatrick; sisters-in-law, Teresa Logsdon and Connie (Mike) Rowe.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Phillis Curtis; sister, Rhonda Curtis; and Grandma and Grandpa Bruce.
A visitation will be by invitation only for close family and friends at Koehler Funeral Home in Boonville on Tuesday, March 31, 2020.
Private graveside service will follow the funeral. Final resting place will be at Garrison Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in her name.
