Melissa Gardner, 62, Evansville
February 22, 2021Melissa (Schroering) Gardner, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021 at her home. She was born October 4, 1958 in Jasper, IN to Norbert and Rita Schroering.

Melissa graduated from Jasper High School in 1977 and attended Henderson Community College. She was an avid reader and enjoyed sudoku puzzles. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially grandchildren.
Melissa is survived by her sons, Jeremy Gardner and Jarrod (Abby) Gardner; grandchildren, Wesley Gardner, Jace Gardner, and Alexis Gardner; mother, Rita Schroering; brothers, Mark (Carol) Schroering, Martin Schroering, and Matthew (Valerie) Schroering; sister, Melanie (Gregg) Lottes and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Norbert Schroering and husband, Daniel Gardner.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 23, 2021 fro. 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville, IN. Services will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Father John Brosmer officiating.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
