Melanie Mundy and Daniel Palombi, both of Evansville, were married Friday, June 7, 2013. The ceremony took place at 4 p.m. at the Spring Mill Inn at Mitchell. Teresa Headington officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Donna Mundy, 8440 E. Schnellville Road, Birdseye, and Gary Mundy, 4420 E. State Road 64, St. Anthony. Mr. Palombi is the son of Margaret “Peggy” Shadduck of Dallas, Texas, and John Palombi of Prattville, Ala.
Michael Wilmes provided the music for the ceremony.
Shaylnne Mundy of Indianapolis was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Alexianna Mundy of Flint, Mich.; Kendra Welp of Clarksville, Tenn.; Kayla Allstott of Birdseye; Roxanne Burton of San Francisco, Calif.; and Emily Mandel of Evansville. Flower girl was Brylee Miller of Haubstadt.
Mr. Palombi chose Kevin Smith of Lexington, Ky., as best man. Groomsmen were Zach Mundy of Libertyville, Ill.; Chase Mundy of Jasper; Gregory Palombi of Dallas; Jared Palombi of Prattville; and Justin Smith of Indianapolis. Ushers were Gregory and Jared Palombi. Ring bearer was Garrett Miller of Haubstadt.
The bride chose a strapless, tea-length gown of ivory tulle with venise lace trim and beading on the bodice.
The bridesmaids were attired in different-style, 1950’s-style dresses in coral or mint green.
The bride’s mother wore a 1960’s-style white dress with taupe and lace accents. The bridegroom’s mother chose a 1940’s-style dress in a nude color with lace overlay.
A reception was held at the Spring Mill Inn.
The couple is at home at 621 Biltmore Way, Evansville, after a wedding trip to Chicago.
The bride graduated from Forest Park Junior-Senior High School, Ferdinand, in 2008 and from the University of Southern Indiana, Evansville, in 2012. She is a photographer for Mundy Palombi Photography. The bridegroom, a 2007 graduate of Lafayette Senior High School in Lexington, Ky., is a 2011 graduate of the University of Evansville. He is a field service specialist for Dish Network.
