Meeting: Southwest Dubois Schools
September 23, 2020The Southwest Dubois School Board met last week and:
• Held a public hearing for the proposed 2021 budget, capital projects plan and school bus replacement plan. There were no public comments.
• Accepted resignations from Melanie Wilkey, assistant at Huntingburg Elementary School, and and Bryce Jones, wrestling assistant and junior varsity co-coach at Southridge Middle School.
• Approved the following transfers: Kendyl Dearing from Southridge Middle School seventh-grade girls basketball coach to its eighth-grade girls basketball coach, and Rodney Carrico from Huntingburg Elementary’s fifth-grade to Southridge Middle School's seventh-grade girls basketball coach.
• Hired Jaclyn Bolen in food service and Baden Pund as an assistant at Southridge High School, and Blanca Serrano as an assistant at Huntingburg Elementary.
• Approved as volunteer coaches: Anna Altstadt, Brad Brosmer, Abby Fink, Evan Julian, Joe Keusch and Aaron Songer for the Southridge High volleyball team, Justin Reed for the Southridge High cheer team, and Mike Ham and Olivia Songer for Southridge Middle School's seventh-grade girls basketball team.
