Meeting: Southeast Dubois Schools

The Southeast Dubois School Board met Wednesday and:

• Approved the resignations of Laurel Gehlhausen as a custodian at Ferdinand Elementary School, Alicia Rappe as a cafeteria cook at Forest Park, Marilyn Stevens as a preschool leader at Pine Ridge Elementary School, Nicole Hopf as a math teacher at Forest Park, Paula Wendholt as a secretary at Forest Park, James Gardner as a custodian, Leslie Blume as an instructional assistant at Ferdinand Elementary and Nolan Gentry as an instructional assistant at Ferdinand Elementary.

• Approved the hirings of Alex Steftenagel as a CTE teacher at Forest Park, Jaxon Cronin as a math teacher at Forest Park, Hailei Gehlhausen as a Forest Park Spell Bowl coach, Jenny Sermersheim as a guidance secretary at Forest Park, Brooklyn Knight as a technology intern, Ericka Eckert as a CCI instructional assistant, Tom Vonderheide as a building maintenance supervisor, James Gardner as a building maintenance supervisor, David Lusk as a freshman boys basketball coach and John Fleig as an assistant boys golf coach for 2020-21.

• Accepted $3,435 in donations to Forest Park girls soccer; $4,225 in donations to Forest Park boys soccer; a $3,000 donation to boys golf; a $130 donation for books for the eighth grade English class; $400 in donations to the Community Impact landscaping project; and a $2,000 donation for a canopy for Pine Ridge Elementary.

• Approved the reopening plan for the 2021-22 school year.

• Approved the following items as surplus: fencing and fence posts, Southeast Dubois bus #19 and a baseball scoreboard.

• Approved the end-of-year financial reports for Pine Ridge Elementary.

• Approved a joint services and supply fund agreement for the Exceptional Children’s Co-op.
