Meeting: Jasper Plan Commission
October 8, 2020The Jasper Plan Commission met Wednesday and:
• Approved an ordinance that adds language to the forms of payment that are accepted by the city’s planning department.
• Discussed potential changes to the city’s unified development ordinance. Some of those issues could include parking vehicles in yards; the surfacing of gravel lots; establishing fence setbacks; establishing permitted-use areas for tattoo shops; as well as gun and archery range regulations. Nothing was approved, and the discussion will continue in the future.
• Discussed potentially changing the time that the commission meets monthly. The commission spoke of potentially changing the meeting time to 6:30 p.m. and changing the city’s monthly Board of Zoning Appeals meeting time to 6 p.m. Nothing was approved. The change would go into effect in January.
