Meeting: Jasper Board of Zoning Appeals

The Jasper Board of Zoning Appeals met Wednesday and:

• Approved a special exception from the city’s Unified Development Ordinance to Jasper Rifle and Gun Club Inc., to allow the club to construct new outdoor shooting and archery stations and four shelters at 2188 E. Gun Club Road.

• Approved a variance from the city’s Unified Development Ordinance to Kenneth and Marilyn Schnaus to build a detached, two-car garage on their property.

• Approved a variance from the city’s Unified Development Ordinance to Blaine and Nicah Steimel to allow for a structure to be in excess of the 22-foot maximum height and closer than the 15-foot minimum side yard setback set forth by the applicable Rural Residential zoning laws.

• Approved a variance from the city’s Unified Development Ordinance to North Fork Holdings LLC, to build within the west side setback line and allow a 2-foot landscaping buffer at 580 Hoffman Road.
