Meeting: Jasper Board of Zoning Appeals

The Jasper Board of Zoning Appeals met Wednesday and:

• Approved a special exception from the Jasper Unified Development Ordinance to Nelson A. Tobar Dubon to allow for a religious institution. Dubon is a member of a local church with only a few families in the congregation so far, he said. The board is allowing six months to build a parking lot big enough to safely fit everyone in case the congregation grows in the future.

• Approved a special exception for Ack Inc. from the UDO to allow an automobile fueling station at 191 Clay St.

• Approved a variance from the UDO for Dale Gress regarding an accessory structure at 1198 Clearview Ave.

• Approved a variance from the UDO for Daniel Brescher of Brescher Housing LLC to allow a four-plex multi-family dwelling at 1103 Main St.
