Meeting: Jasper Board of Zoning Appeals
November 5, 2020The Jasper Board of Zoning Appeals met Wednesday and:
• Approved a variance for Randall and Margaret Hochgesang to build a third accessory building on their property at 1246 Second Ave.
• Approved a variance for Maglinger Home Services to operate a counseling center in a building owned by the Catholic Diocese of Evansville at 408 St. John St., which is zoned residential. The board also approved Maglinger to have a 4-square-foot sign and it approved the center not having four off-street parking spaces as required by the city's Unified Development Ordinance.
• Approved a variance for Kevin Messmer to build a 27-foot-8-inch-tall pool house on his property at 1860 Gregory Lane. City code allows for accessory structures to only be as tall as 22 feet.
