Meeting: Jasper Board of Public Works
December 22, 2020The Jasper Board of Public Works and Safety met Tuesday and:
• Approved Pfaff Construction to reserve parking spots and close the sidewalk near 706 Main St. for two to three weeks in January 2021 so the company can replace the building’s windows.
• Approved the bid of $2,669.99 for a new dispatch chair for the police department. The department had another bid approved at last month’s meeting but discovered there were shipping issues.
• Approved the low bid of $2,308 for a new sniper rifle scope for the police department. Two officers are trained in sniper shooting, and the current scope being replaced is from the 1980s.
• Approved for the street department an 18-foot steel flatbed to be placed on the brine truck chassis for the low bid of $5,794.01.
