Meeting: Holland Town CouncilJuly 9, 2020
The Holland Town Council met Wednesday and:
• Accepted a letter of resignation from longtime councilman Mike Ellis, who quit due to health reasons. President Tom Thacker said Councilwoman Melanie Barrett, who is also a Republican precinct committeewoman, will recommend a replacement to County Republican Party Chairman Mark Messmer.
• Adopted a sewer inspection ordinance to require a sanitary sewer inspection for prospective sellers and buyers of residences within the town corporate limits.
• Reported that a new splash pad at Holland Park could open in early August.
• Noted that the town’s $1.13 million water tower upgrade should be complete by the end of the month. A fence is currently being installed around the new Stendal tower, Thacker said.
