Meeting: Holland Town Council

The Holland Town Council met Wednesday and:

• Gave an update on the town’s ongoing $1.13 million water tower upgrade. President Tom Thacker said the project is 83% complete. The 200,000-gallon Holland water tower near the elementary school has been online for a couple of weeks, but still needs its control system to be completed. Plans still call for the new Stendal water tower to be online by year’s end with piping work currently taking place. All in all, Thacker said, things are going well.

• Announced that a year-end meeting has been scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30, at Town Hall, 505 W. Main St. The council traditionally reorganizes and wraps up the year during its year-end meeting.

• Shared that trees are being planted at Holland Park to replace those recently taken down.
